Patient-reported outcome (PROs) measures and measurement instruments vary depending on the ophthalmic condition, so it is important to select the most effective option for your research question. Investigators should also consider linguistic variations among the patients being studied when designing measurement tools. The speakers in this session will explain the science of PRO measurement (PROM) highlighting best practices and including how to define what you want to measure, select the appropriate PRO measure and measurement tool appropriate for the ophthalmic condition and ensure your measurement instrument is accessible to a diverse patient population. The session will end with a discussion of the intersection of PROMs and HEOR. Bring your questions for the interactive Q&A.
