Dennis Scanlon, Distinguished Professor of Health Policy & Administration and Director, Center for Health Care Policy Research at PennState College of Health and Human Development, will answer the question, Why Does Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Matter? He will highlight a variety of the benefits for patients and scientists and illustrate how cost-effectiveness and outcomes measurement has been applied in ways that serve specific audiences (government, manufacturers, payers) and could be applied in future research projects.
