Guide to scientific peer review
This module reviews the basics of the scientific manuscript peer-review process from the perspective of a peer reviewer. It covers the basic steps of peer review and provides tips for writing a defensible review decision, such as a request for revision or rejection. The importance of partnership with the journal and ethical conduct in the peer-review process are emphasized. Participants new to the process are the main audience for the content. However, “seasoned” reviewers may find the material to be a useful refresher.
